Pick a plan on our course information page and complete checkout. Your enrollment is confirmed automatically, and everything else, including your schedule and tutor, arrives by email. Most students book a demo class first to meet a tutor and get a level check.

Enrollment is rolling, so there is no batch date to wait for. Your first class is typically scheduled within 24 to 48 hours of enrolling. We place you in a group that matches your level, or set up your 1-on-1 schedule right away.

No preparation is needed on your side. The demo class includes an assessment of your current level, and your tutor uses it to place you on a personalized roadmap from A1 to B2. Complete beginners simply start at A1.

You receive a welcome email with your class schedule, your tutor introduction, and access to all learning materials. Your first class is typically scheduled within 24 to 48 hours.

Yes. The A1 level starts from zero: alphabet, numbers, pronunciation, and first conversations. You do not need any French to begin. See our beginner classes (A1 and A2) for the full curriculum.

Yes. Two people who join together run as a custom group class on a shared schedule. Contact us for pair pricing and setup.

Classes run Monday to Friday in two windows: mornings from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and evenings from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., all Eastern Time. You pick the window that fits your work schedule at enrollment.

Group classes and the Individual Fast-Track plan run 20 classes a month, Monday to Friday. The standard Individual plan runs 12 classes a month, three days a week.

Every class is a full 60 minutes, taught live. If a session is ever cut short on our side, we offer a replacement class.

Six to eight. That is small enough for you to speak in every class, and it is why our group plan works for exam prep rather than just casual learning. If you want maximum speaking time, 1-on-1 tutoring is the step up.

Group classes follow a set weekly timetable for your batch, in the morning or evening window you chose. The 1-on-1 plans are scheduled around you within the same windows. Late-evening learners are covered too: the evening window runs to midnight ET.

Yes, going forward. Tell the team what changed and we will move you to a slot or batch that fits, within our morning and evening windows and subject to availability. Changes apply to future classes, not retroactively. Reach us any time through the contact page.

Class recordings are included in every plan, so you can catch up on anything you miss. A class missed on your end still counts as delivered under our terms of service, so if you can see a conflict coming, tell the team early and we will help you adjust your schedule going forward.

All classes are online, live on Google Meet. You need a device with a camera and microphone and a stable connection; everything else is provided. Teaching online is also what lets us match you with the best tutor for your goals rather than the closest one.

You speak in every class. Lessons include role-plays, TEF and TCF Expression Orale drills, and direct feedback from your tutor. Speaking is where the exams are won, so it never slides to the end of the course.

Ask live in class, any time. Groups are capped at 6 to 8 students precisely so questions get answered, and 1-on-1 students set the agenda entirely. Between classes, homework is reviewed with feedback, and our WhatsApp community keeps you connected to the team and other students.

Through regular homework, assignments, and mock TEF and TCF tests. You see measurable movement month by month, and your tutor adjusts the plan when one skill lags behind the others.

Usually not. Most students need 6 to 12 weeks per level. One month of group classes makes a serious dent, and monthly billing means you simply continue until the level is done.

We adjust. Placement is by level, assessments run regularly, and students move to a batch that matches their pace. If you progress faster than your group, you move up. If you need review of earlier material, your tutor works it into the plan, and 1-on-1 plans exist for exactly this.

Group classes are $249 per month for 20 classes. Individual 1-on-1 is $369 per month for 12 classes, and Individual Fast-Track is $549 per month for 20 classes. All prices are in CAD with no registration fee. Full details are on the course information page.

Nothing is extra. Practice exams, grammar guides, vocabulary lists, audio resources, class recordings, and mock TEF and TCF tests are all part of your tuition.

You buy a monthly package of classes, 20 or 12 depending on the plan, and the next package is charged automatically when a new one begins. Classes in a package stay valid for 60 days from purchase, so a short break does not burn your classes.

Yes, billing is automatic and recurring. To stop, tell us in writing at least 48 hours before the last scheduled class of your current package. The full policy is in our terms of service.

A full refund is available if you decide not to continue before your first class begins, or you can switch tutors instead. After the first class, refunds cannot be processed, apart from your statutory rights under Canadian consumer protection law. Refunds are processed within 15 days. Details are in our terms of service.

All major credit and debit cards, as well as bank transfers, through our secure Stripe checkout. There are no hidden fees beyond what is displayed at checkout.

There is no need. Plans are monthly packages that carry you from level to level at the same price, so you continue month to month until you reach your target and stop when you are done.

There is no financial-aid or waiver program. We do run promotional discounts from time to time, so check the course information page for current offers.

No. TFA is a private language school, not a Designated Learning Institution, so we cannot issue T2202 tuition slips. Your payment confirmation from Stripe is your record of payment.

Tell us your preference and we will accommodate it where scheduling allows. Tutor assignment is managed by our team to keep levels and schedules balanced, but your preferences are part of the matching.

Usually, yes, for 1-on-1 plans, subject to scheduling. Group students continue with their batch tutor, who is chosen the same way: by level, goals, and schedule.

Yes. If you want to compare teaching styles before enrolling, book another demo class and ask for a different tutor.

Yes. Request a switch and we will rematch you. Before your first class you can even choose a tutor switch instead of a refund. Teaching-style fit matters, and rematching is routine.

Yes, that is the core of what we do. The curriculum covers all four sections of both exams: Compréhension Orale, Compréhension Écrite, Expression Orale, and Expression Écrite. Still choosing an exam? Our TEF vs TCF comparison settles it.

Yes. Mock TEF and TCF tests are included in every plan, along with regular assignments. Mock results are how we track your readiness and time your real exam booking.

For most Express Entry candidates the target is CLB 7 in all four skills, which is NCLC 7 on the TEF and TCF scales. Our TEF score chart and TCF score chart translate exam scores into CLB levels band by band.

We do not provide transcripts. What you receive is a TFA certificate of course completion at the end of your program. For immigration language points, IRCC accepts only official TEF Canada and TCF Canada results, so the exam attestation is the document that matters for your PR file. We prepare you for exactly that.

No study permit is needed for our classes. TFA is a private online language school, not a Designated Learning Institution, so enrolling does not create or change any immigration status. Verifying that your current status permits private language courses remains your responsibility; when in doubt, check with IRCC.
