About the role

We are hiring experienced French tutors, based anywhere in India, to teach our students in Canada. Classes are live on Google Meet: one-on-one sessions and small groups, from A1 up to B2, with a strong focus on TEF Canada and TCF Canada exam preparation. The syllabus and materials are provided; you focus on teaching.

This is a work-from-home online French tutor job for teachers in India: you teach from your own laptop, in fixed shifts, and are paid ₹500 to ₹1,000 per teaching hour. It suits French trainers who already prepare students for TEF Canada or TCF Canada, DELF or DALF holders, and online French teachers who want steady part-time hours with a Canadian school.

About Toronto French Academy

Toronto French Academy is a Canadian online French school, teaching since 2018, with more than 450 active students and a full-time tutor team largely based in India. Our students are adults preparing for the TEF Canada or TCF Canada exam, most of them to gain points for Canadian permanent residency.

Responsibilities

Teach live, interactive online French classes to individuals and small groups (A1 to B2)
Prepare students for all sections of the TEF Canada and TCF Canada exams
Deliver demo sessions for prospective students
Monitor and document student progress, and give clear, actionable feedback
Use Google Meet, Drive and Docs for classes, materials and records

Requirements

DELF B1 certification or higher, or an equivalent French qualification
2+ years of French teaching experience, including adult learners
Experience teaching online, with strong student engagement over video
Proficiency with Google Meet, Drive, Sheets and Docs
A laptop, stable high-speed internet with a backup connection, and a quiet dedicated workspace

Schedule and pay

Class days	Tuesday to Sunday, following Canadian time zones
Window 1	12:30 AM to 4:30 AM IST (afternoon in Toronto)
Window 2	5:30 AM to 9:30 AM IST (evening in Toronto)
Pay	₹500 to ₹1,000 per teaching hour (INR), paid as an independent contractor. Your rate within this range depends on your experience and demo class, and is confirmed in writing before you start.
